As we talk about all the delicious ways to tap into our pleasure, in order to live more fulfilled, joyous, and sensational lives, you might notice a sinking feeling inside your body, preventing you from taking action. 

Just so you know, this feeling is totally normal. 

Perhaps that sinking feeling is an urging of not being worthy or deserving of giving yourself the time. Perhaps it’s perfectionism paralysis, wanting the environment and the experience to be just right, so you never start it. Or maybe it’s the conditioning suggesting that these practices are only for a certain type of person or for people who have the luxuries of time and money.

Whatever the story, it prevents you from manifesting your desires and achieving the life of your dreams. 

The truth is that pleasure is, in fact, a luxury. In this day and age, enjoying our lives, our bodies, and realizing our soul’s desires is a freedom that few take by the reigns. It is an act of resistance, in and of itself, against the forces that oppress our true expression.

So how do you overcome this internal resistance to pleasure? By diving right in! (Hey, I didn’t say it would be easy.) 
Explore the parts of you that feel icky, the knot in your stomach, the headache, the tension in your shoulders. Find out what these parts of the body/mind have to say, get clarity, find acceptance, and access the most supportive, loving part of yourself to ease them out of the way. Power through. Your future self will thank you as you are living your dream reality.
